Larry “Bluecome” Parsley, 76, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2025, leaving from his residence.
He was born August 4, 1949, at Madison, WV, a son of the late Everett “Red” Parsley, Jr., and Betty Jane Holdren Parsley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Parsley and Woodrow “Woody” Logan; and his parents-in-law, Jimmy and Mildred Hanna.
Larry was a retired UMWA coal miner having 30 years of service. He was a member of Prayer Connection Lighthouse in Danville, WV. He served in United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-1970. He was also an original member of the Brothers of the Wheel Boone County Clubhouse since July 26, 1982.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jane Dare Hanna Parsley; his children, Janie Parsley (David Pridemore), Jennifer Parsley, Scott (Carrie) Parsley, and Billy Parsley; his grandchildren, Waylon, Larra, and Gus Elkins, Memphis Pridemore, Phillip (Bre) Messer, Emily (Cory) Adams, Emily and Katie Hughes; his great-grandchildren, Zeke and Elizabeth Messer; two brothers, Greg (Tammy) Parsley and Mike (Janet) Parsley; two sisters, Lola (John) Cornette and Elaine (John) Wallen; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy “Jimbo” Hanna, Dean Hanna, and Tommy Hanna; one sister-in-law, Jennifer Hanna; a special cousin, Nancy Phillips; and an honorary niece and nephew, Tekisha (Davie) Eubanks and Trenton Eubanks. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews along with his extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Mark Meeker and Rev. Scottie Parsley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery at Dunbar, WV, where Military Graveside Rites will be observed. Pallbearers will be Scott Parsley, Bill Parsley, David Pridemore, Phillip Messer, Jimbo Hanna, Davie Eubanks, Waylon and Gus Elkins, and Zeke Messer.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the funeral home.
