Lanny Keith Mullins, Sr.

Lanny Keith Mullins, Sr., 72, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV.

Born May 23, 1949, at Harts, WV, he was the son of the late Bernie Workman and Ruth McCloud Mullins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Kathleen Mullins; three sisters, Agnes, Donna, and Mae; one brother, Elmer Mullins; and one sister-in-law, Ethel Mullins.

Lanny was a self-taught musician. He played many different instruments including guitar, banjo, and mandolin. He played rock and roll, gospel, and bluegrass music.

Lanny is survived by three children, Lana Kristine Dingess of Wheeling, WV, Lanny Keith Mullins, Jr., of Madisonville, TN, and Lee Kendall (Mercedes) Mullins, Sr., of Parkersburg, WV; his grandchildren, Alex Dingess, Matthew Smith, Abigail, Maddelyn, Samantha, Ethan, Lee Kendall Mullins, Jr., Levi Kole Mullins, Logan Kadence Mullins, and Lillian KeeLee Mullins; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Susie Chapman of Indiana and Patricia (Howard) Self of Trussville, AL; two brothers, Frank (Susanna) Mullins, Jr., of Parkersburg, WV, and Richard (Luz) Mullins of Willis, TX. Additionally, Lanny leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff that provided care for Lanny in his time of need. Also, a special thank you to Hope and Madi for their visits that lifted his spirits. We appreciate you all.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Wednesday.

To honor Lanny’s wishes, his remains will be cremated and scattered near his home place.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
