Kerri Lee Runyon, 43, of Conway, South Carolina, died unexpectedly at her home on the morning of November 6, 2023, from a lifelong battle of chronic respiratory disease. Her unexpected loss has left the family deeply saddened.
Kerri Lee was born in Logan, WV, on May 9th, 1980, to Carl "David" Runyon and the late Sherrill "Susie" Counts Johnson.
Kerri Lee attended Logan County Schools until her senior year when her family moved to South Carolina where she graduated from Socastee High School in 1998 and then attended Coastal Carolina University, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She obtained her realtor license and worked for Hi-Tech Construction which was her family's business.
In addition to her mother, Kerri Lee was preceded in death by her brother, Brian, maternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Counts, and her paternal grandmother, Janet Runyon.
Kerri Lee is survived by her son, Caiden, of whom she was so very proud; her father, David Runyon; grandfather, Carl Runyon; sisters, Carly and Mackenzie Runyon; stepmother, Cathy Runyon; nephew, Tyler David Runyon; sister-in-law, Connie Royer-Runyon; aunts, Kim Runyon Jones, Lee Ann Counts Rand, and Steff Counts; companion, Chris Williams; along with special great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Kerri Lee had great love for her family and friends, and she will be missed tremendously.
A public memorial service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV.
