Kenneth Lee Browning, 95, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Boone Memorial Hospital in Madison, WV.

He was born February 9, 1931, at Chapmanville, WV, the son of the late John Lewis Browning and Grace Stollings Browning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Lee Browning.

Ken, as he was affectionately known, was a mine foreman for Island Creek Coal Company. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and served for 5 years, being honorably discharged in 1956. Ken's passion for life was most evident when he was at the lake, cruising around on his boat. A cherished and devoted family man, Ken loved spending time with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, courage, and dedication.

Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Donna (Greg) Kuhn of Turtle Creek, WV, and Nancy (Steve) Kuzman of Oveida, FL; his daughter-in-law, Tammy Browning of Pecks Mill, WV; two grandchildren, David (Danielle) Adams of Foster, WV, and Emily Browning of Chapmanville, WV; the mother of his children, Betty Wilder of Rocklin, CA; and a very special friend who was like a brother, Roger Meade. Additionally, Kenny leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Chapter #6153, American Legion Chapter #103 of Chapmanville, and DAV Chapter #39 of Harts.
