Kelly D. Dingess Adkins, 48, of Logan, WV, departed this life on August 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kelly fought with determination and grace, inspiring everyone who knew her. She was devoted to her kids and the Lord, a passionate church goer, baker and planter, most importantly a source of light to everyone around her.
She was born February 20, 1977, at Huntington, WV, a daughter of Darlene Dingess of Big Creek, WV, and the late Frederick “Dickie” Dingess.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her uncles, David and Donald Dingess; and cousins, Cheyenne Dingess, Janet McCoy, and Christine Jackson.
She is survived by her mother, Darlene Dingess; her beloved children, Isabella and Jason Adkins; aunts and uncles, Geraldine and Debora Dingess, Linda and Ray Welch, Billie Jean Hamlin, Paige and Robert Balitski, Jay and Veronica Huguenin, and Doug and Carol Huguenin; sisters, Stacy Stollings (Travis Frye) and Lisa Maynard (Billy Wheatley); nieces, Jerica Maynard and Billie Wheatley, and nephews, Christopher Ferrell, Dustin Vance, and Zachary Stollings; cousins, Connie and James Christian, Jonathan Rodgers; and a multitude of many other cousins. Special friends include Savannah Blankenship, Anita Frye, and Misty Dials.
The funeral will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Shane Bryant officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
