Keith Browning, 75, of Verner, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2024, leaving from Logan Center at Logan, WV.

He was born October 16, 1949, at Verner, WV, a son of the late Elmer and Ollie Browning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Keith Browning; several siblings; his parents-in-law, Arlie and Carrie Griffith; and a special brother-in-law, Bob Griffith.

Keith worked as a strip miner for many years, retiring in 2014. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Keith was very devoted to his family. He was a devout Christian and a faithful member and honorary deacon of Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church, where he loved to sing and testify. His unwavering faith was a testament to his dedication to serving the Lord, and he loved his church family. Keith was also a proud United States Air Force veteran who served his country with honor and dignity. After his retirement, he could often be found tinkering with lawn mowers and doing yard work. Keith will long be remembered for his kindness toward others, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Dottie Browning; one son, Larry (Tawana) Browning of Statesville, NC; one grandson, Grayson Keith Browning of Statesville, NC; one granddaughter, Savanna (Evan) Breniser of McArthur, OH; one great-granddaughter, Ellie Jane Breniser of McArthur, OH; one sister, Nancy Griffith of Scott Depot, WV; one brother, Rick (Patsy) Browning of Verner, WV; and his pastor whom he loved dearly, Pastor Clyde (Becky) Endicott of Gilbert, WV. Additionally, Keith leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with his church family and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church at Gilbert, WV, with Pastor Clyde Endicott officiating. A dinner will follow the service.

To honor Keith’s wishes, his remains have been cremated.
