Kathy Ann Thompson

Kathy Ann Thompson, 58, of Mallory, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.

She was born October 25, 1964, at Accoville, WV, the daughter of the late Lanny and Adeline Ferrell Lusk.

Kathy was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors and could often be found working in her yard and flower garden, sitting on the porch, or fishing. She also enjoyed four-wheeling. Her greatest joy, besides serving the Lord and going to church, was her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Kathy will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 13 years, Roger D. Thompson; three sons, Allen Joe Lusk of Mallory, WV, Bradley Don (Perri) Thompson of Taplin, WV, and Roger (Marilyn) Thompson, Jr., of Barboursville, WV; four grandchildren, Bo Douglas Thompson, Braylee Dawn Thompson, Lindsay Grace Thompson, and Delaney Ray Thompson; one brother, Richard Lee “Smiley” (Beverly) Lusk of Chapmanville, WV; and one nephew, Nathan Richard Lusk of Chapmanville, WV. Additionally, Kathy leaves behind a host of extended family, her church family whom she loved, and countless friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Greenville Freewill Baptist Church at Man, WV, with a homegoing service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Baxter Toler and Rev. Jason Hawkins officiating.

To honor Kathy’s wishes, her remains will be cremated following the services.
