Kathrin Adkins, 62, of Harts, WV, departed this life on Monday, July 13, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.
She was born February 16, 1964, in Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Curtis Ray Adkins and Heidi Lotz Adkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one special aunt who was like a mother to her, Shirley Adkins.
Kathrin’s life was defined by hard work, creativity, and her deep love for her family. She worked for many years as a seamstress at Logan Manufacturing, where her skill, dedication, and strong work ethic were evident in everything she did. She had a true gift for sewing and crafting. Whether creating something beautiful by hand, mending a treasured item, or working on a new project, she found joy in using her talents to bring happiness to others. Her creativity and attention to detail made her exceptionally talented, and those who received one of her handmade creations will cherish them for years to come. Above all, Kathrin's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones and was happiest when surrounded by them. Her kindness, generous heart, and unwavering love will be remembered always, and her legacy will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Carolyn Adkins; her brother, Michael Adkins; one special cousin who was like a sister to her, Robin Noe; special nieces and nephews, Jeremy Chapman, Jason Chapman, and Emily Noe Hill and her children, Leon Hill whom she called her little Charlie Brown, and Zelda Hill. Additionally, Kathrin leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
To honor Kathrin’s wishes, her remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
