Julia F. “Judy” Martin Booth, 79, of Logan, WV died on Monday, April 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born on December 16, 1945, at Logan, WV, the daughter of the late James and Mary Kirk Martin.
Julia's love for music was more than a hobby; it was a shared journey with her beloved husband, Jake. Together, they were a familiar and adored duo at local gatherings, especially at the much-anticipated Pickin' in the Park events. Julia, a devout member of the Pentecostal faith, found her greatest joy in the warm embrace of family gatherings, where her presence was a source of comfort and happiness. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul E. Abbott; sons, Paul E. “PJ” Abbot Jr. and David L. Abbott; brothers, Tommy Martin, Jimmy Martin, and Donald Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jake Booth; son, Eugene (Pam) Abbott; daughter, Tina (Stephen) Abbott Kolb; step-daughter, Judy Sheppard; sister, Barbara Spears; grandchildren, Debbie Abbott Hatchel, Darlene Abbott, Wayne Ford, Nicholas Ford, Stephanie Ford, Taylor Kolb, and Tyler Blaine Kolb; great-grandchildren, Aubriana, Sabrina, Lilly, Peyton, Gabriel, Kenna, Bryelle, and Realm.
A private family service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
