Joy Talip, 67, of Switzer, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at CAMC General Hospital in Charleston, WV.

She was born September 2, 1958, to the late Henry and Phyllis Fleming Jordan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Opal Fleming.

Joy was a beacon of love and kindness within her community, touching the lives of all who knew her with her unwavering positivity and infectious laughter. Her passion for the game of tennis was evident to everyone who knew her. Among her greatest joys was the time spent with her beloved granddaughter, the light of her life. Joy’s legacy endures through the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the sweet memories that will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who were privileged to know her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Eddie Talip; one daughter, Rachael Talip; one granddaughter, Allyson Tomblin; one sister, Rose (Jeff) Defries; one brother, Ralph Jordan; two sisters-in-law, Shanda (Paul) Spears and Marie (Gail) Kiser; her nieces and nephews, Carrie Pringle, Torey Jordan, Kinslee Jones, and David (Jessica) Spears. Additionally, Joy leaves behind a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.

To honor Joy’s wishes, her remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
