Obituary

 

Joseph Browning, 59, of Amherstdale, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Cornerstone Hospital at Huntington, WV.

Born October 29, 1963, at Logan, WV, he was a son of the late Sebert Browning, Sr., and Katie Ward Browning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Browning and Sebert Browning, Jr.; three sisters, Judy Rakes, Virginia Wooten, and Gwendolyn Browning; and his companion, Sherry Davis.

Joseph was an auto mechanic, and he also worked in construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Westerns. His favorite past time was playing Candy Crush. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by one sister, Linda Spears of Amherstdale, WV, along with many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Joseph’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Evans Funeral Home at P.O. Box 4500 Chapmanville, WV, 25508 to help with funeral expenses.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
