John Bryan Counts, 63, of Alum Creek, WV, formerly of Logan, WV, departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at his residence.

He was born October 3, 1962, at Logan, WV, a son of John A. Counts and Rene Brown Counts of Logan, WV.

John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Millard and Pearl Brown; his paternal grandparents, Garland and Edra Counts; and his beloved feline companion, Cali.

John worked in the telecommunications industry as a central office technician. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals and never missed an opportunity to tune in to a game or cheer them on. John will long be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, John and Rene Counts; one brother, Mark Counts; and one aunt, Georgia Brumfield. Additionally, John leaves behind numerous cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2025, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV, with Rev. Bill McDonald officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
