Joe Gurski, 79, of Danville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV.
He was born March 9, 1944, at Madison, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Halla Gurski.
Joe was a coal miner for 34 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. Joe enjoyed mowing grass, tinkering in his garage, and striking up a good conversation with someone. He also enjoyed eating breakfast with some of his closest friends. Joe was a family man and always made sure his family was taken care of.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Joe Joe (Melissa) Gurski of Wharton, WV; his daughter, Angela Gurski of Danville, WV; grandchildren, Kali, Briar, Savannah, Shawn, Aubrianna, Matthew, and Jared; great-grandchildren, Maverick, Granger, Gannon, and Jackson. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
To honor his wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
