Jimmy Ray Adkins Obituary

 

Jimmy Ray Adkins, 78, of Van, WV, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He has been very sick for a long time.


Jimmy was born March 9, 1945, to the late Herman and Bertha Adkins.


Jimmy was a coal miner for 29 years. Jimmy is loved and will be missed by all.


He is survived by his wife, Pat, of 59 years; and a son who he loved dearly, Kennith and Malinda; a special sister, Barbara Workman and husband Lloyd of Chattanooga, Tennessee; a very special granddaughter, Alisha Vance and husband Ken of Pineville, WV; five great-grandchildren who he loved and enjoyed very much, Maddox, Harper, Lillie, Emerson, and Ryleigh; a very special person, Teaire, who Jimmy loved and cared so much about and helped any way she could with him. Jimmy is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Johnny, who has helped with Jimmy so much.


By Jimmy’s request, there will be no service or visitation.
