Jimmy Joe Bryant, 60, of Catawba, NC, formerly of Verdunville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Catawba Valley Medical Center at Hickory, NC.

He was born January 8, 1963, at Columbus, OH, the son of Leslie E. Bryant of Verdunville, WV, and the late Barbara Joe Vance Bryant.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dewey and Minnie Vance; his paternal grandparents, Leslie and Sadie Bryant; and his sister, Leslie Caroline Bryant.

Jimmy Joe enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles, hunting, and he had a love for fast cars. He also had a love for sports and was an avid WVU fan.

He is survived by his father, Leslie E. Bryant of Verdunville, WV, along with a host of aunts and uncles and extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

To honor his wishes, Jimmy Joe was cremated.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Vance Cemetery at Holden, WV, with Rev. Lonnie Gore, Jr., officiating. His remains will be laid to rest beside his mother.
