Jimmie Allen Price died peacefully with loved ones surrounding him in Quinland, West Virginia, on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the age of 79.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Sue (Potter) Price. His sisters, Shirley and Anna Mae. His children, Stuart, Donna, Jimmy and Rodney (and wife Stacy) and his 11 grandchildren: David, Ashley, Kristen, Kayla, Meagan, Ross, Tyler, Kori, Michael, Bradley and Bailey. As well as 8 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Zella Ellison Price. His brothers, Harold, Charles and Robert and his sisters, Gloria and Emma.

Jimmie was born on September 11, 1943, in Madison, West Virginia, to Carlos and Zella Price. He worked for Omar Mining as a buggy man. Jimmie married his wife, Virginia, in 1962, and over a period of 8 years, the couple welcomed 4 children into their home.

Jimmie was accomplished at many skills and anyone that knew him knew he could do anything and everything and was often working on a project. He was quick-witted, and his sense of humor always brought a laugh to anyone around. His passion and love for music and singing was enjoyed by all. He was an active and dedicated member of the Quinland Church of Christ where he was a song leader for many years, and many people learned to know and love him.

Today, Heaven gained a new song leader.

Jimmie has chosen to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Quinland Church of Christ.

The family would like to thank our Christian family for all their prayers and loving support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville for their unprecedented compassion and care. The staff never hesitated to fulfill all our family’s needs through out their time working with us. We appreciate Dr. James Stollings, Shannon, Billy, Lindsey, and especially Amelia for their loving care and support during this trying time.
