Obituary
Jessee “Russell” Toler, 72, of Landville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from Wyoming Nursing & Rehab in New Richmond, WV.
He was born May 8, 1949, at Christian, WV.
He was preceded in death by all his parents, two brothers, and his special great aunt and uncle, Mary and Crit Stamper, who raised him.
Russell was a 1967 graduate of Man High School and attended Marshall University. He loved his community, his animals, and helping anyone who crossed his path.
Those left to cherish his memory are four daughters, Rebecca (Gary) Gambill, Sandra “Red” (Albert) Murphy, Christie (Luis) Pumagualle, and Mary Toler; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Norma Trent and Johnnie (Buddy) Flippin; five brothers, Sam (Linda) Toler, Chuck Toler, Ollie (Denise) Parsons, James (Theresa) Ogle, and Bill (Beverly) Toler. Additionally, Russell also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends whom he considered family.
In honor of Russell’s wishes, his remains have been cremated.
A celebration of life will be conducted at the Man Church of the Nazarene, 400 Main St., Man, WV 25635 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021. As per his request, his beloved brother and former pastor, Ollie Parsons, will officiate the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
