Jerry Lee Johnson, 71, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV.
He was born August 2, 1952, at Logan, WV, a son of the late Ned and Pearl Workman Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Johnson; two brothers, Eli and Billy Johnson; and one grandson, Cooper Hutchinson.
Jerry was a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming and gardening.
He is survived by three daughters, Sarah Johnson, Rachel Carter, and Lacosta Johnson; his grandchildren, Emma Hutchinson, Dakota Bell, Levi Carter, Ricky Carter, Jaelyn Dingess, and Jerry Dingess; two brothers, Tracy (Charlotte) Johnson and Sidney Johnson; and three sisters, Martha Williams, Mable Conley, and Mary Workman. Additionally, Jerry leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
To honor Jerry’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
