Jennifer Renee Tinnel, a BELIEVER in Jesus Christ, went home to be with her loving savior on October 15th, 2025.  Jennifer was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Hurricane.  Jennifer was 42 years old.  She was born in Charleston, WV, on January 1, 1983.  Jennifer was a devoted Christian, loving mother, amazing wife, beloved daughter, sister, YAYA and Mimi.  Jennifer’s loving spirit and infectious smile will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Jennifer’s battle with Adrenal Carcinoma ended at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, where she was surrounded by her Family, Friends, Nurses, Doctors, Prayers, and God Almighty.  Jesus was in her heart, and His PEACE was with us all.  Moments before passing, her son Jackson became a BELIEVER, just like his Mama.  Hallelujah!!!        

Jennifer was preceded in death by her wonderful grandparents, Glen Wheatley, Art and Juanita Cole, Virgil and Betty Wheatley, Thurman and Annamae Tinnel, Hazel and Romie Johnson; and her uncles, Frenchie Burke and Philip Grigg.

Surviving to cherish, remember and celebrate Jennifer’s life are her loving husband, John Tinnel; Five Children – Savannah Woods (Eric), Taylor Tinnel (Brandon), Luke Tinnel (Mommy’s Boy), Holly Tinnel (Mommy’s Mini-Me), and Jackson Tinnel (The Baby) - To say she loved her babies to the moon and back would be an understatement; Loving Parents, Mark and Cheryl Grigg and Johnny and Ann Tinnel; Brothers and Sisters, Courtney Bryant (Mitch), Mitchell Grigg (Lois), Ruth Bryant (Kevin), Bobbi Walls (Jon), Josh Tinnel (Shawna); Amazing grandparents, Richard and Gertrude Adkins; Grandchildren, Hunter Woods, Grant Cales and Lainey Woods; Nieces and Nephews, Garrett Richard (Hollee), Drew Workman (Caden), Walker Grigg, Sophia Bryant, Liam Bryant, Nikki Walls, Isaac Tinnel and Caroline Tinnel.  Aunts and Uncles, Ronnie Barrett (Elaine), Becky Goncher (Rob), Della Polacek, Brandon Burke (Jamie), Travis Burke, John Cole (Denise) Betsy Grigg and Gordon Grigg (Deborah). And countless other friends and family members who loved Jennifer deeply.

Funeral services will be conducted by William Runyon (Rena) and will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville, WV, on October 22nd (6:00 PM-9:00 PM) and October 23rd (11:00 AM).  Her burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery near Pecks Mill, WV.  All are encouraged and welcome to attend.          

Jennifer’s life will not end at the grave.  She was a true BELIEVER in Jesus Christ and is with Him today in Heaven.
