Jeanie Iris Meeks Tomblin Mullins

Jeanie Iris Meeks Tomblin Mullins, 64, of Harts, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2023, leaving from CAMC General Hospital at Charleston, WV.

Born August 30, 1958, at Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Geneva “Peanuts” Browning Meeks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Loretta Jean Tomblin; one brother, Kenneth “Jeff” Meeks; her first husband, Rodney Tomblin; and her paternal and maternal grandparents along with several aunts and uncles.

Jeanie was a homemaker. A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she was very devoted to her family. Jeanie was a faithful and devoted Christian and a member of the Mary Ann United Baptist Church. She loved going to church, spending time with her family, and keeping her granddaughter, Raylee.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Johnny Mullins of Harts, WV; one son, Johnathan Mullins of Harts, WV; one step-son, Kevin (Ashley) Mullins of Harts, WV; one granddaughter, Raylee Mullins; two step-grandchildren, Lillian and Kevin Mullins; her uncle, Wandle (Judy) Meeks; and one special cousin, Darlene Lester. Additionally, Jeanie leaves behind countless cousins along with a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Tommy Vance, Ked Messer, and Lee Ez Stroud officiating.

Burial will follow in the Browning Cemetery at Manns Knob, Harts, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville, WV.
