Janet Adams Dingess

Janet Adams Dingess, 62, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan.

She was born January 26, 1961, at Holden, WV, a daughter of the late Lenvil and Pauline Hall Adams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Colonial Dale Dingess, Jr.; and her parents-in-law, Colonial Dale Dingess, Sr., and Jane Dingess.

Janet was a homemaker and a cook. She worked at Janet’s Park N’ Eat for several years, where she was known for her delicious turkey and dressing recipe and apple pies. In her spare time, she enjoyed walking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Christian faith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Megan Williams of Chapmanville, WV; her grandchildren, Christopher Blankenship, Breanna Blankenship, Kaylee Williams, Miley Williams, Jaxson Williams, and Ryan Williams; one sister, Justine (Jack) Byers of Hulbert, OK; two special nieces, Jessica Dingess and Aundrea Mullins; and one special nephew whom she loved to joke around with, Justin Baisden. Additionally, Janet leaves behind several nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Dingess-Conley Cemetery at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
