Jack Lee Smith

Jack Lee Smith, 81, left his earthly home of Foster, WV on March 18, 2024, to be eternally with the Lord.

He was born May 30, 1942, in Jeffrey, WV, the son of the late J.R. and Opal Smith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Lovell Smith (and sister-in-law, Bonnie) and Doug Hayes; and sisters, Sue Napier (brother-in-law, Dan), and Anna Chandler (brother-in-law, Bill); and brother-in-law, Gene Bell.

Jack was a Christian and member of the Fountain of Life Worship Center. He was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed working outside in the garden, operating heavy equipment, hunting, road trips, and real-estate. He was the protector of his family and admired by everyone.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vickie Lynn; his son, Jack Jr. (Lisa) of Foster, WV; his only remaining sister, Carol Bell of Lake, WV; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hayes of Foster, WV; his stepdaughter, Shandee (Richard) of Camp Creek, WV; his stepson, Derrick (Reese) of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren, Nathaniel Smith, Ryder Dotson, Austin Williams, Kylie and Madyson. A host of incredibly special nieces and nephews, as well as Jack Jr's mother, Andrea Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fountain of Life Worship Center at Foster, WV, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at noon with Pastors Stacy Dingess and Mick Frye officiating. Friends and family may gather at 11:00 A.M. for a time of fellowship before the service.
