Isabell “Granny” Robinson, 83, of Lake, WV, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 5, 1939, at Lake, WV, the daughter of the late Dill and Carrie Mae Nelson Woody.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ricie Hall; her second husband, Raymond Nichols; her third husband, Dave Robinson; four brothers, Teddy Dill Woody, Donnie Woody, Jimmy Woody, and Willis Woody; two grandchildren; and one stepson.
Isabell was a homemaker. Affectionally known as “Granny” to everyone, she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and wordsearches. She also loved to play with her grandchildren, and seeing them smile was one of her greatest joys. Her passion was singing in church. Christmas was her favorite holiday A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Granny was very devoted to her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Evelyn Hall of Holden, WV, Wilma (Truman) Adkins of Lake, WV, Ricie “Buddy” (Angel) Hall of Chapmanville, WV, and Penny (Bill) Sullins of Lake, WV; four stepchildren; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and one special niece, Lisa (John) Farris of Logan, WV. Additionally, Granny leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of other dear relatives and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Amelia Spencer and Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville for the wonderful care they provided.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Barry Mynes officiating.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
