Mrs. Inda Eileen Dingess Whitt, 84, of Chapmanville, WV, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, July 14, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on October 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Broda Lee Cabell Dingess of Chapmanville, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah E. Whitt; one son, Roy E. Whitt; one infant daughter, Patty Whitt; four brothers, Berthel Lee Dingess, James W. Dingess, Daniel Luke Dingess, and an infant brother; and one sister, Mary Jean Booth.

Inda was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, canning, and reading. Devoted to her family, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Those left to carry on with her memory are one son, Dan (Angie) Whitt of Chapmanville, WV; two daughters, Rebecca (Steve) Pratt of Foster, WV, and Betty Lou (John) Adams of Chapmanville, WV; two granddaughters, Jessica Michelle Adams (Josh Barker) and Kelli (Greg) Show; one great-granddaughter, Avery Eileen Adams Barker; one brother, Eugene Dingess of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Linda G. Conley and Elnora Dingess both of Chapmanville, WV, and Freda (Marty) Graman of Texas; along with a host of nieces and nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor John E. Godby officiating.

Burial will follow in the Whitt Cemetery at Chapmanville, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
