Homer Conley

Homer Conley, 76, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at his residence.

Born June 20, 1946, at Verdunville, WV, he was a son of the late Matthew and Edna Conley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Adrianne Conley; one sister, Sue Richards; and one brother, Freddie Conley.

Homer was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed gardening, traveling to the beach, watching Westerns, and listening to television evangelist Arnold Murray. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Homer was very dedicated to his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Conley; four children, Shelia (Steve) Chapman, Jeffrey Conley, Lora (Bo) Miller, and Josh Conley; six grandchildren, Ashley, Evan, Kayla, Austin, Hayley, and Caleb; five great-grandchildren, Rori, Olivia, Paxton, Stratton, and Navy; his siblings, Delilah Conley, Loretta Conley, Anita Napier, Dola (Peanut) Butcher, and Larry Conley. Additionally, Homer leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville, WV, where funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Carter officiating.

To honor Homer’s wishes, his remains will be cremated following the services.
