Herman Moore Obituary

Herman Moore, 85, of Harts, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 17, 1939, at Harts WV, a son of the late Garfield and Faye (Dingess) Moore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Randolph and Missell (Farley) Dingess; one son, Brian Todd Moore; two brothers, Thurmond Moore and Nim Moore; two sisters, Edna Moore and Jane (Moore) Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. (Adams) Moore; one son, Herman K. Moore; two brothers, Edgar (Eva) Moore and Leonard Moore; one sister, Florence (Amos) Hall; as well as nieces and nephews and many family and friends.

As a Christian Jehovah’s Witness, he loved the truth found in the Bible, and he loved telling others about the promise the Bible gives of the paradise earth to come under God’s Kingdom and of the resurrection to that paradise earth. That promise found in the Bible, is the hope he has, and this gave him great joy and comfort. Two of his favorite bible verses are at Psalms 37:11,29.

A memorial service will be held at the Logan Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Switzer, WV, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
