Helen Farley Workman was born February 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Chester and India Farley.  She departed this life on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her home in Chapmanville, WV.

Helen was a retired homemaker and a long-time member of the Chapmanville United Baptist Church, where her chicken and dumplings were legendary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Claude B Workman; their infant son, Claude B Workman, Jr.; siblings, Jewel Fleming, Glen Tracy Farley and Marvin Lee Farley; her bonus daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and John Hannah.

Survivors include her sister, Gail (Paul) Phipps of Chapmanville, WV; children, Bryan (Tina) Workman of Kearneysville, WV, Donna (Carl) Webb of Chapmanville, WV, and Doyle Workman of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Cody (Kimberly) Webb or Oak Harbor, WA, Chelsea (Jairo) Porras of Lewisburg, PA, Tiffany (Tyrus) Dixon and Travis Workman both of Kearneysville, WV; bonus grandchildren, Andrea (Josh) Bryant of Chapmanville, WV, and Jacob Hannah of Charleston, WV; great-grandchildren, Emery, Callum and Declan Webb of Oak Harbor, WA, and Alexander Porras of Lewisburg, PA; bonus great-grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, Madilyn and Meredith Bryant of Chapmanville, WV; along with a host of family and friends.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Chapmanville with Rev. Robert Stacy Dingess officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at West Fork, Chapmanville, WV.
