Helen Mullins Hall, 86, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life Sunday, February, 28, 2021, with her loving family by her side.
She was born July 16, 1934, to the late Wilburn and Mary Dingess Mullins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Lowell Mullins, Levern Mullins, and Truman Mullins.
Mrs. Hall was a retired teacher for Logan County Schools after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Rocky Hill Freewill Baptist Church, and she loved her church family. Mamaw enjoyed working in the garden, canning the food that she and Papaw raised, spending time at the farm, and quilting. She cherished her time with her great-grandchildren, of whom she adored.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, Charley “Andy” Hall; one daughter, Karan (Terry) Elkins of Chapmanville, WV; one son, Charles Hall of Ripley, WV; her precious grandchildren: Terry Brent (Kristina) Elkins, Breona (JV) Keener, Cassondra (Bill) Collins, Kelli Elkins (Curt Frye), and Brandon Hall; her precious great-grandchildren: Arabella Collins, Addison Elkins, Allisyn Elkins, Benjamin Elkins, Kolton Pennington, Reina Keener, and Copelan Frye; four sisters: Imogene Parrish, Frema Wilson, Ramona (Don) Brune, and Anita (Eric) Schwing; four brothers: Wilburn David Mullins, Bernard (Shirley) Mullins, Ivan (April) Mullins, and Edwin (Kathy) Mullins. Additionally, Helen leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Logan Regional Medical Center ER Staff, Dignity Home Health, and Dr. James Stollings for their kind and compassionate care as well as their Rocky Hill Church family for their thoughts and prayers over the past few weeks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV, with Bro. Terry Elkins and Rev. Jeff Fleming officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Pallbearers will be: Terry Brent Elkins, Curt Frye, JV Keener, Bill Collins, Brandon Hall, and Benjamin Elkins. Honorary pallbearers will be: Pete Lewis, Dustin Lewis, Mike Farley, Colton Farley, Tommy Kirk, Mike Dingess, and Roy Lamb.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines and the physical health of some family members, it is requested by the family that those who wish to attend wear masks and adhere to social distancing recommendations.
