Gregory James Cline, 57, of Wayside, WV, departed this life on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan, WV.
Born June 27, 1964, at Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Charles E. Cline and Carolyn Sue Kennedy Cline.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Edward Cline; his paternal grandparents, James Elmer and Mae Cline; his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Georgia Kennedy; and his step-grandmother, Christine Moore Cline.
Greg worked as a mechanic and carpenter, though he could have been considered a “jack of all trades.” He was a resident of Monroe County, WV, for over 30 years and loved every minute of it. His favorite hobbies included chicken fighting and gardening. Greg will be missed by a multitude of family and friends.
Greg is survived by two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Cline, Jr., of Columbus, OH, and Jeff (Nicole) Cline of Baisden, WV; two sisters, Eloise Cline of Columbus, OH, and Diana (Danny) Robinette of Hurricane, WV; one special brother, Roger (Gail) Cline of Baisden, WV; special aunts and uncles, Edith (Berman) Cline of Baisden, WV, Janet Cline, Rocky (Betty) Kennedy, and Fern (Gordon) Carter all of Hampden, WV, Sharon (Steve) Lowe of Moneta, VA, and Arthur Glen Kennedy; three nieces, Alexis Bragg and Logan Robinette both of Hurricane, WV, and Skyler Mounts of Baisden, WV; one nephew, Christopher Cline of Charleston, SC; special friends who were always there to help him, Lacy and Sandy Little and Randy Vinson all of Wayside, WV. Additionally, Greg also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.
The Cline Family would like to give a special recognition and thanks to the staff of Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan, WV for the wonderful and compassionate care that was shown to Greg.
To honor Greg’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
