Glenna Jean Kennedy

Glenna Jean (Pahl) Kennedy, 83, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021, from Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.

She was born August 26, 1937, at Man, WV, a daughter of the late William Pahl and Ella Marie (Pahl) Hodge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Kennedy; stepfather, Roma Hodge; one infant son, William Kennedy; two stepsons: Jerry Kennedy and Raymond “Ted” Kennedy; four sisters: Libby Valentine, Patty Carroll, Dorothy Altizer, and Alice Slone; and one very special niece, Cindy Harvey Herndon.

Glenna was a 1955 graduate of Man High School. She loved her family and spending time with them all. Glenna also enjoyed attending church and loved the Lord.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved son, Steven M. (Angela) Kennedy; her grandson, whom she adored, Jared M. Kennedy of Chapmanville, WV; her granddaughter, Bridgette (Aaron) Donahoe of Logan, WV; her beloved sister, Judy (Ronnie) Farmer of Barnabus, WV; one step-son, Terry (Joyce) Kennedy of Davin, WV; and a host of loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Striker Bible Church at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor John E. Godby officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
