Gary Marcum

Gary Marcum, 64, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Monday, January 4, 2021, from his residence.

Born June 3, 1956, at Holden, WV, he was the son of the late Chester Marcum and Louise Kiser Marcum. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters: Cleo McDonald and Alice Stewart; and one brother, Ronnie Marcum.

Mr. Marcum worked as a mechanic. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gary attended the Striker Bible Church. A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be greatly missed by his family and those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Marcum; two daughters: Amber Quinones and Jennifer Marcum; grandchildren: Jaden Taylor, Michael Sherrod, Marquis Glover, Sidney Clay, and Draven Clay; special nephew, Travis Williamson; siblings: Don Marcum, Darlene (Rick) Ross, and Danny (Sandy) Marcum. Additionally, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews along with a host of family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. John E. Godby officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
