Fred Allen "Freddy" May, Jr. Obituary

A beloved husband, father, pops, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, Fred Allen May, Jr., also known as Freddy, 42, of Limestone Branch Rd., Big Creek, WV, went to be with his heavenly father and his earthly father, Fred May, Sr., whom Freddy’s heart just missed so much, on Monday, January 30, 2023.

He was born on September 29, 1980, at Huntington, WV, the son of Tammy Thomas May of Big Creek, WV, and the late Fred Allen May, Sr.

In addition to his father and best friend, Freddy was preceded in death by his favorite uncle, Bob May; his cousin, Bobby; his paternal grandparents, Waymouth and Princess Irene Duty May; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Wynona Thomas; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, and friends.

Freddy had a smile that could light up the whole world. He was a loving, sweet, and caring soul. His passion was diesel mechanics where he thrived on finding out what was wrong with equipment and fixing it. He loved bull riding, spending time with family and friends, and having a good laugh. Freddy was a 1998 graduate of Chapmanville High School where he loved so many and where he played baseball also.

In addition to his loving mother, Tammy May, and his big sis, Heather May-Napier, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, April McCloud May; his five children, Jazmine (Justin) Watson, Christopher Adams, Karlie, Riley, and Charlee Adkins all of Chapmanville, WV; one precious great-grandchild whom he loved dearly, Sawyer Allen Watson “Sawbug”; two special nieces, Sylest (Myran) Copley of Chapmanville, WV, and Sydney (Dustin) Ball of Lake, WV, and their precious babies, Maxi, Myles “Mini-me”, and Benjamin; a special cousin, Lisa Ellis; and friends, Josh and Nikki Conley, Rosella Conley, Freddie “Heavy” Stollings, Dougie Dingess, and Flip. Additionally, Freddy leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Freddy loved all animals, especially his fur babies whom he spoiled, Sassy, Scout, and Mavis.

To honor Freddy’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
