Florence Adams Davis Obituary

Florence Adams Davis, 85, a graduate of Chapmanville High School, class of 1959, one of God’s faithful servants, received her heavenly reward, Thursday, March 20th 2026 after suffering a sudden and tragic fall hours earlier at her home.

Reunited with her husband William “Bill” Randolph Davis, she was welcomed into God’s Kingdom by her family including parents: Roy and Peggie Adams, brothers: Curtis Adams, Lyall Adams, Brady Adams, Carl Adams,  Baby Oscar Adams, Clyde Adams, and Larry Adams, sisters: Irene Baisden, Easter Dingess, Ruth Adams, Nora Craddock, and Janice Hall.

Accepting Christ since early childhood, Florence was warmly welcomed into the kingdom of heaven by family, friends, former classmates, and most importantly her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Florence’s departure from this earth is met with a mixture of sadness and joy by her surviving brother, Orville Adams, her son,  William Jason Davis, close nephew (1st “son”) Brad and his wife Karla Craddock, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Davis’ dedication to the Lord, her family, late husband, and The Striker Bible Church, was never ending and will be sorely missed by all.

Florence was a respected professional who began her clerical career at Logan General Hospital and continued at Appalachian Power with her successful tenure concluding at the birth of her cherished son, Jason. But, Florence would consider her greatest accomplishment, being that of wife, mother, and child of God.

A private viewing for family members begins Monday, March 23rd at 5 pm, open visitation 6pm - 9 pm, at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville. Funeral services to be held Tuesday, March 24th, 2:00 pm at The Striker Bible Church, Crawley Creek Road. Pastor, John E. Godby officiating, final resting to follow at Burl Adams Family Cemetery.
