Ezekiel Charley “Zeke” Dingess, 71, of Harts, WV, departed this life on January 6, 2021.
He was born January 5, 1950, the son of the late Julius “Duty” Dingess and Louise Workman Dingess. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Richard and Curtis Dingess; and one sister, Judy Dingess Kinder.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Connie Brumfield Dingess; his son, Brian Ezekiel (Teah) Dingess; his precious granddaughter, Ruby Lynne Dingess; three brothers: Orville (Dottie) Dingess, Alvin (Brenda) Dingess, and Virgil Dingess; sisters: Betty (Dick) Kennedy, Peggy (Jim) Stinson, Fredia (Clyde) Porham, and Lillian Dingess Collier. Additionally, he also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and many special friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Zeke was a member of High Adventure Church, where he had served as Deacon for many years. He was a retired carpenter and a 1968 graduate of Chapmanville High School. Zeke had a personality unlike any other. He was always joking and could always put a smile on everyone’s face. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved working with his bees.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at High Adventure Church at Harts, WV, with Rev. William Mitchell and Shawn Renner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cecil Brumfield Cemetery at Harts, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
