Ethel Mae (Hanna) Cochran departed this life on October 13, 2021, in Charleston, WV, at the age of 94 years.
Ethel was born on May 1, 1927, in Curry, WV. She was the oldest daughter born to the late James and Inez Hanna.
Known for her generous and fun-loving spirit, she loved spending time with family, traveling, and cooking. She served the Lord for many years and enjoyed reading scripture. Ethel retired from the hospitality and service industry in the late 1980s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Donald Cochran; brothers, Jimmy Hanna, William “Bill” Hanna, Thurman Hanna, Warren Hanna, and Danny Hanna; sisters, Betty Hager, Fay Nelson, Bonnie Perry, and Ruth Jeffrey.
Ethel is survived by her children, Peggy Fisher Miller of Trotwood, Ohio, Greg (Kate) Butcher of Alum Creek, WV; Teresa (Joe) Freeman of Chapmanville, WV, Kimberly Adkins of Elkview, WV, and Donald Wayne Cochran of Charleston, WV; her sisters, Janice Brown, Thelma Ferrell, and Linda Nelson; her brother, Mack Hanna; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that will cherish her memory forever.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Vivie Marcum officiating.
Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
