Emma Jean Vance

Emma Jean Vance, 88, of Verdunville, WV, went home peacefully to her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 21, 2023.

She was born July 7, 1934, at Holden, WV, a daughter of the late Anderson and Allie Adkins Lemons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Vance; one brother, Arthur Lemons; and two sisters, Cora Lawson and Louise Meadows.

She was a faithful member of the Stone Branch Church of God.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Jackie France; three daughters, Sharon (Patrick) Bryant, Drema (Gary) Cadd, and Vickie (Mike) Kolota all of Verdunville, WV. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren including Patrick (Karen) Bryant, Michael Shane Bryant, Danielle (Joey) McComas, Staci (Gary) Wilson, Rebekah (Jody) Bias, Austin Evans, Morgan Evans, and Bella Bryant, along with seven great-grandchildren, Jerridan (Samantha Jones) McComas, Elijah (Ally Kirk) McComas, Diesel Bryant, Brody Bryant, Brilee Wilson, Judah Wilson, and Lilyana Bias.

Honoring her wishes, Emma’s remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.

The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the Emergency Room staff at Logan Regional Medical Center specifically Dr. Lonnie Berry, Respiratory Therapist Tony Bell, and Registered Nurse Larry, along with the staff at Genesis Healthcare for the care she received.
