Dorsey Dale Green, 77, of Danville, WV, departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2021, from his residence.

Born June 7, 1943, at Bim, WV, he was the son of the late Dowten and Ellen Pittman Green.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers: Richard Green, Franklin Green, and James “J.T.” Green; and one sister, Ethel Green.

Dorsey Dale Green, 77, of Danville, WV, departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2021, from his residence.

Born June 7, 1943, at Bim, WV, he was the son of the late Dowten and Ellen Pittman Green.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers: Richard Green, Franklin Green, and James “J.T.” Green; and one sister, Ethel Green.

Dorsey worked as a coal miner for over 40 years. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, moochie hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Davis Green; two sons: Shane (Kim) Green and Timmy (Marlie) Green; one step-daughter, Katie Jo Roberts; his grandchildren: Cheyann Green, CieAira Green, Travis Green, Shawna Fisher, Travis Fisher, Skylar Mollett, Laci Ellis, and McKenzie Midkiff; one sister, Marcy (Steve) Danielson; one brother, Dowten Eugene “Tojo” Green; many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
