Dorothy Louise Dillon, 74, of Mount Gay, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 20, 2021, leaving from her residence.
She was born May 21, 1946, at Thompson, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy Louise Palmer Keil. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Earnest Keil and Gerald Keil.
Dorothy was a homemaker. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her son. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of McConnell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years, Mervil Dillon; her children: Mervil Lewis (Anna) Dillon, Joan Marie (Roger) Cooper, Steven Wayne Dillon, Tonya Louise (Nicholas) Hager, and Joshua Allen Dillon; her grandchildren: Stephanie, Shannon, Kayla (Cody), Alex, Paige, and Chase; her great-grandchildren: Leighton, Kynslee, and Brylan; one sister, Paula Brown. Additionally, Dorothy also leaves behind numerous cousins along with a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John E. Godby officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sheppard-Meeks Cemetery at Harts, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
