Obituary

Doretta Yuvonne Paris 70 of Chapmanville, WV departed this life on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at her residence. She was born on January 10, 1953, at Mud River, WV, the daughter of the late James and Lillie Lovejoy Roberts.

Doretta was affectionately known as a homemaker and cherished spending time with her grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Paris, 4 brothers, 5 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Shasta) Paris; grandchildren, Mason Paris and Nevaeh Bailey; brother, Kenneth (Sheila) Roberts; sister, Avinelle Woodrum; special niece, Barbara Hunter; and a host of family and friends.

To honor her wishes, her remains have been cremated, and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
