Donald Jennings “Donnie” Dalton, 74, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Hubbard Hospice West at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV.
He was born July 15, 1950, at Logan, WV, a son of the late Bud and Nevada Thompson Dalton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Dalton; and one brother, Benny Dalton.
Donnie dedicated many years to working on heating and cooling systems, a trade in which he was very skilled. Not only was he a craftsman in his professional life, but he was also an avid woodworker. His passion for creating intricate pieces from wood was a testament to his patience and attention to detail. His handcrafted treasures will serve as lasting reminders of his talent and creativity. Donnie will long be remembered for his kind heart and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Billie Jo (Eric) Keevert of Wendell, NC; two granddaughters, Jordan Rae Liles and Mackenzie Lyn Liles; two sisters, Linda Quinn of Chapmanville, WV, and Margaret Craddock of Columbus, OH; one sister-in-law, Dianna Dalton of Chapmanville, WV; four nephews, Ben David (Brittany) Dalton and Si (Mary) Easterling both Chapmanville, WV, Scott Easterling of Charleston, WV, and Paul Allen (Paula) Craddock of Columbus, OH; and one special great-nephew, Carson Dalton. Additionally, Donnie leaves behind a host of great-nieces and great-nephews along with his extended family and friends.
To honor Donnie’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
