Donald Lee Copley, 51, of Logan, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV.
Born April 24, 1971, at Logan, WV, he was the son of the late Troy and Nancy Ellis Copley.
Donald was employed by the City of Logan. He was a member of and served on the City of Logan Fire Department Station 1000 for 32 years. Donald loved playing guitar. A family man, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and brother.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Angie Copley; one son, Jameson Copley; one daughter, Kaci Copley; two step-sons, Dustin Thompson and Dillon Thompson; two grandchildren, Carson Copley and Addy Copley; two step-grandchildren, Wyatt Thompson and Emerson Thompson; his siblings, Christine (Dale) Dickey, Emelia (Leslie) Hobbs, Darren Copley, Brian Copley, Rancine Belcher, Scottie Beckett, and Michael Beckett; special friends, Randall (Katie) Ferguson, Mike (Kim) Resler, Ken (Marshetta) Lee, and Jackie Smith; and his parents-in-law, Donald (Gladys) Adkins. Additionally, Donald also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, his Station 1000 brothers, and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Word of Life Church at Logan, WV, with Pastor and Logan Fire Department Chaplain Josh Vanhook officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mount Lake Park Cemetery at Logan, WV. Pallbearers will be Jameson Copley, Scottie Beckett, Michael Beckett, Chad Baisden, and Jeremy Steele.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.
