Denise Louise Newhouse, 69, of Lake, WV, departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2024, at her residence.

She was born November 16, 1954, at Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Dennie and Audrey Gullet Ferrell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Newhouse, Jr.; one son, Jason Ball; one sister, Vonda Gartin; and two brothers, Benny Ball and Dennis Ferrell.

Denise was a homemaker. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandma to all of her grandbabies. She was very family-oriented and held a strong love for her family. She also had a love for animals and flowers. Denise also enjoyed cooking, and in her spare time, she took pleasure in playing games on her computer. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Heather Ball (John Craddock) of Chapmanville, WV, Kellie (Jerry) Woody of Lake, WV, Misty Ball of Danville, WV, and Martha Adams of Lake, WV; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Destiney Ball, Hannah Robison, Willis Hayes, Jr., Serria Mullins, Timber Ball, Jamey Craddock, Justin Johnson, Hunter Albright, Biron Maynard, Eric Lambert, Aubrii Lambert, John Lambert, Jr., River Lambert, and Lennox Hayes; one sister, Connie (Dale) Yeager; one brother, Lannie Ferrell; and one lifelong special friend, Carolyn Underwood. Additionally, Denise leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Denise’s wishes, her remains will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
