Denise Cheryl Lewis, 58, of Big Creek, WV, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at her residence.

She was born April 23, 1967, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of Daniel and Carolyn Farley Pritchard.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Pritchard; her paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Elah Pritchard; and her maternal grandparents, Kyle Farley and Thelma Stollings.

Denise was a 1985 graduate of Chapmanville High School. Following graduation, she worked in retail management for several years. Denise found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Photography was her passion. Her love for traveling took her to places far and wide, but she always held a special place in her heart for the beach. The art of quilting was one of Denise's many talents, along with designing jewelry. Denise had a huge heart for kids, and she often went out of her way to bring joy and laughter into their lives. She had an adventurous spirit and loved the thrill of four-wheeling and exploring the great outdoors. Hosting get-togethers with family and friends was one of her favorite things to do, as she was a people-person and often the life of the party. She was also an avid sports fan. Denise was of the Christian faith and attended Rocky Hill Freewill Baptist Church whenever she was able. Her legacy is one of love, friendship, and a life richly lived.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Denene (Paul) Hurst and Deidre (Tony) Raben; nieces and nephews, Brandon Pritchard, Chelcie Gore, Nathan Pritchard, Rylee Pritchard, Joseph Hurst, Michael Hurst, Jessica Hurst, Caleb Hurst, Kaitlynn Woodside, JoAnna Raben, and Adeline Raben. Additionally, Denise leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
