Delilah Williams

Delilah Williams, 68, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at her residence.

Born January 13, 1955, at Logan, WV, a daughter of the late William Scott Jarrell, Sr., and Ruby Jean Ellis Jarrell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one special grandson, William David Frye, III; and two brothers, Scott Jarrell and Keith Jarrell.

Delilah was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved taking care of her grandchildren, and she volunteered her time at Chapmanville East Grade School for many years taking care of countless other children as that was her passion. Delilah was very devoted to her family, and she will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Billy R. Williams; two children, Glenn (Dana) Martin of Monroe, OH, and Karla (Shane) Hinson of Monroe, NC; two step-children, Roy (Donna) Williams and Wanda Frye both of Chapmanville, WV; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Clay of Virginia Beach, VA, and Connie Monnett of Logan, WV. Additionally, Delilah leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews along with countless friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Treaby Scaggs officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville, WV.
