Debra Lynn Oliver Maynard, 60, of Logan, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.
Born September 6, 1961, at Logan, WV, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis Marion Oliver, Jr., and Eva Jo Hooker Oliver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Oliver.
Debbie, as she was affectionately known, loved to travel. She loved going on road trips and spending time with her girls. She loved them both more than life, and they loved her just the same. Debbie was a 1979 graduate of Logan High School. She retired from the Logan County Board of Education. She also attended the Crawley Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Anyone who knew Debbie and her witty sense of humor knows that she was always up for a good laugh. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Kellie (Larry) Lucas of Chapmanville, WV, and Kaylee (Jordan) Butcher of Peach Creek, WV; two granddaughters, Lara Lucas and Lonna Lucas both of Chapmanville, WV; and one brother, Gary Oliver of Lake, WV. Additionally, Debbie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
Debbie’s family would like to give a special thanks to all who prayed for her, called, sent food or flowers, and expressed any other act of kindness during this difficult time. The family also asks that you continue to pray for them during this time.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV, with Jerry Mann officiating.
Following the services, Debbie will be lovingly laid to rest beside her mother.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Butcher, Larry Lucas, Aaron Oliver, Gary Oliver, Lonnie Lucas, and Christopher Gore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
