David Gennings Davis

David Gennings Davis, 60, of Alum Creek, WV, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, at his home on Sunday, April 23, 2023, and is now with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Born December 2, 1962, in Malawi, Africa, he was the son of the late Frank Davis of Eleanor, WV and the late Betty Ann (Wright) Davis of Bancroft, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Davis.

Dave was a man of prayer. He loved the Lord and his family deeply. Most would recognize his voice from Tractor Pros advertisements on the radio and TV. He loved to preach and also enjoyed working with business and finance. Dave had a vast sense of humor and was a very understanding and caring man that never wanted to disappoint anyone he loved and strived to be number one at everything he did. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his loving and faithful wife, Jessica Eckard Davis; his four children, Kristi Thomas of Wyoming, Kara Davis of Tennessee, Kyle Frank Davis of Tennessee, and  David Allen Davis of West Virginia; stepdaughter, Samantha Facemire of West Virginia; sister, Joan Seger of Georgia; and brother, Jon Davis of Kentucky; as well as several other stepchildren and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Independent Missionary Baptist Church of Alum Creek with Pastor Daniel Dent officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
