Crystal Gail Lawson, 50, of Sumerco, WV, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV.

She was born January 13, 1975, at Logan, WV, a daughter of Madelene Hensley Lawson of Sumerco, WV, and the late Roger Lee Lawson.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Christine Lawson Price; her maternal grandparents, Noah and Weltha Workman Hensley; her paternal grandparents, Bryant Lawson and Mary Nichols Blair; and many aunts and uncles.

Crystal was a cherished soul whose love for life's simple pleasures was an inspiration to all who knew her. She could often be found watching television or playing on her iPad. She also loved working puzzle books. She had a passion for horses and their beauty. Crystal's presence was a beacon of joy, guiding us through our days with her unwavering optimism. Her memory will remain a cherished companion, her influence everlasting in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, are one sister, Karen (Richard) Seabolt; two brothers, Johnny Lawson (Leanne Absten), and George Lawson (Angela Terry); and three uncles, Alvin (Nellie) Hensley, Terry (Lisa) Lawson, and Archel (Bridgette) Lawson. Additionally, Crystal leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Charlie Shelton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hensley Family Cemetery at Harts, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
