Connie Sue Burress, 77, of Man, WV, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

She was born September 29, 1947, at Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Herman E. Lunsford and Eva Marie Gayhart Lunsford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Burress; one son, Keith E. Lunsford; and one brother, Billy Lunsford.

Connie devoted over 30 years to the Logan County Board of Education as a custodian at Christian Grade School, Mallory Grade School, and Man Central. In her spare time, she enjoyed raising a garden and cross-stitching. She always had a smile and was always willing to help others. 

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Junior Lunsford and John Fenner and his companion, Diana Belcher Hatfield; one grandson, Dustin Lunsford; and one sister, Betty Jean (Jack) Bowersox. Additionally, Connie leaves behind several nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Connie’s wishes, her remains have been cremated, and there will be no services.
