Charlotte Irene Dress Simpkins

Charlotte Irene Dress Simpkins, 89, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hamlin, WV.

Born January 22, 1933, at Logan County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Tony and Mary Petrovich Dress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Simpkins, and 12 siblings.

Charlotte was a beautician for many years. A music enthusiast, she loved listening to country music while dancing along to the radio. Charlotte took great pride in keeping her home spotless, and everything was always kept in place. She was of the Catholic Faith. After retirement, she spent most of her time shopping, and she especially loved QVC.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Tony (Peg) Buch of Biglersville, PA, and Pat (Robin) Buch of Mississippi; her step-children, Pete (Bonny) Simpkins and Jeff (Sherry) Simpkins all of Paden City, WV, Mary (Calvin) Brown of Roaming Shores, OH, Rhonda (Larry) Updyke of Dorset, OH; two daughters-in-law, Dottie Simpkins and Linda Simpkins; her grandchildren, Brian (Kensy) Buch, Cory (Kate) Buch, McKenzie (Eli) Young, Gretchen Buch, and Gisell Buch; three great-grandchildren, Kamden, Elaina, and Julia Buch; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Additionally, Charlotte leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Tony Buch officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
