Charles Edward "Chuckie" Davis

Charles Edward “Chuckie” Davis, 29, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021, leaving from Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

Born May 8, 1992, he was the beloved son of Mark H. Davis, Sr., and Tammy Wilburn Davis of Chapmanville, WV.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Ellsworth Davis, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Charles E. and Helen Wilburn; and his paternal great-grandparents, Walter and Ruth Davis.

Chuckie, as he was lovingly and affectionately known, was a gentle soul with the heart of a giant. He brought joy to the lives of everyone he met. He was a devoted Christian and attended the Garrett Chapel Community Church. A 2012 graduate of Chapmanville Regional High School, Chuckie was actively involved in sports, serving as manager of the Chapmanville Regional High School football team. He was an avid WVU fan and also loved watching professional football. His favorite NFL football teams were the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chuckie was also a life scout member, Troop 217 of the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid Xbox gamer, NASCAR fan, and loved watching wrestling. He also loved fishing and was a bass fisherman at Smith Mountain Lake, which was among one of his many favorite things in life. Chuckie will be sadly missed and forever cherished by his family and those who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted parents, Mark H. (Tammy) Davis, Sr., of Chapmanville, WV; his loyal brother, Mark H. (Alyssa) Davis, Jr., of Chapmanville, WV; his paternal grandmother, Juanita Davis of Chapmanville, WV; aunts and uncles, Cathy Davis Cline of Shelbyville, KY, Loretta Kay Davis and James Ellsworth (Yvonne) Davis, Jr., both of Chapmanville, WV, Robert (Becky) Bevins of Robinette, WV, and William “Bill” (Karen) Wooten of Logan, WV; his favorite canine companion, Tank; and two special friends, Raymond Blankenship and Joey Justice. Additionally, Chuckie leaves behind a multitude of cousins and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel at Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Leroy Perry and Bro. Bill Wooten officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Evans Funeral Home.
